Course overview
You will learn how to demonstrate knowledge of and insight into the theory of teams and the importance of teams in workplace activities.
You will apply the theory of teams to team dynamics.
You must explain the process of building teams.
You will analyse the role of a team leader in promoting team effectiveness.
You will evaluate the effectiveness of a team as well as propose ways to improve team effectiveness.
How you will be assesed
This programme has been aligned to registered unit standards. You will be assessed against the outcomes of the unit standards by completing a knowledge assignment that covers the essential embedded knowledge stipulated in the unit standards. When you are assessed as competent against the unit standards, you will receive a certificate of competence and be awarded 6 credits towards a National Qualification.
You will complete assignments as well as a Portfolio of Evidence as part of your formative and summative assessments.
Requirements
The programme methodology includes facilitator presentations, readings, individual activities, classroom discussions, and skill application exercises online. You will need internet connection to access your course lessons from your smartphone, tablet or desktop computer.
